“Tenryo Joge” is a modern space steeped in history.
Here in Joge, we want to introduce buildings that convey our history to future generations.
In recent years, many of Joge's traditional merchant homes have become empty and difficult to preserve. These buildings, with a 100-year history, are rapidly disappearing.
“Machiya-Inn Tenryo Joge” was born of the desire to maintain Joge's townscape that bridges Edo, Meiji, Taisho and Showa eras, and to preserve it for the future.
